Legendary actor/director Mel Gibson to take over directors chair for 'Fantastic Beasts' franchise

Well we've all been watching the headlines and it hasn't looked good for David Yates as of last months scandal. For those of you who haven't heard, he got drunk and started a fight with a local in the very same Iceland pub that actor Ezra Miller was caught on film allegedly choking a fan. These incidents topped with the recent allegations against Johnny Depp have made the continuation of the production of the third installment of the 'Fantastic Beasts' franchise exceedingly difficult. Not only this, but the coronavirus pandemic has put a halt to most of the world. Some places are opening up this month and some small productions are being allowed limited recording time in order to move forward to meet deadlines. This is not the case for Fantastic Beasts however.
J.K. Rowling has thus far stood by actor Johnny Depp and has chosen to keep him on as Grindelwald but David Yates has been fired. Mel Gibson will not only be replacing David Yates but also taking on a starring role as a new character as well as having appearances from his daughters Hannah (40) and Lucia (10). With the performances such as that of Braveheart in his extensive film history we are looking forward to see what acting and directing genius he has to offer and the direction he will take the franchise as the first ever non-british director for the wizarding world.
