Football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, said in a recent interview, after returning to Saudi Arabia after international break, said after a question about retirement, said, “I plan to retire either after the Euros or at the end of my Saudi contract. I don’t want to play more after in Europe like my manager Rudi Garcia said, but there’s a chance I could retire after the Euros or I could retire in January of 2025, when my contract ends. But I’ll forever miss this game, and there’s still things to do before I retire.”
The interview also asked about the 2026 World Cup, Ronaldo said this, “I don’t know, I’ll be too old. You never know, maybe I win the Euros and I get a fire and want to compete longer, you know. But, for now, I’ll keep competing in the Saudi league and in Portugal. I still have stuff I need to do.”
Unfortunate that Ronaldo will most likely have 1 year and a half of more football, but he will always be regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
